Co-Founder/Chair
Born and raised in Bonnie Scotland she is a graduate of The Dance School of Scotland and The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
After graduating in 2016 and struggling with her own mental health, she realised there were very little support outlets for those in the arts who were struggling, in fact it was still very much a taboo subject. Unable to afford to cost of therapy, she realised she wanted to help break the stigma around mental health and create accessible support for others. Joining forces with Cathy Read, together they founded Industry Minds.
Scarlett works across stage & screen and is proud to be chair of Industry Minds.
Scarlett was awarded a WhatsOnStage Angel Award in 2020 which included her work for Industry Minds throughout the pandemic.

Life in general can be difficult at times and creatives in the industry can experience additional challenges around disappointment, uncertainty, change, feelings of rejection which can result in anxiety and lead to low self -esteem.
Mary is a calming, approachable therapist who understands the unique challenges of the industry and provides a safe, confidential space to explore any problems or feelings.
You can expect empathy, a non- judgemental approach and a relationship built on trust, warmth and honesty.
Mary says “I’ve lived a life full of ups and downs, I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life and there is nothing that a client can bring into the therapy room that would shock me. Sometimes we all need a wee helping hand and for me, there is great strength in reaching out for that help. That is the start of making the changes in your life that you want to make”.
Therapy sessions are currently offered via Facetime, Skype, WhatsApp or telephone and appointments are flexible and offered at a time that fits with work, auditions, last minute self- tapes or family commitments.
